Before the oil trucks, the family worked ice and coal around Yonkers. One brother began delivering heating oil (D'Ambrosio Bros., out of Seminary Avenue) while still in the service. When his younger brother came home from the Air Force, he came in as a full partner. One brother helping another, no money changing hands. Same streets, same families, the same phone number we still answer today.
Pat D'Ambrosio joined the business in 1991, working alongside his father and uncle. In 1995 he and his cousin bought out their fathers and took over the operation, keeping the family standard the neighborhood had called and asked for in the first place.
D'Ambrosio Fuel is owned and run by Pat D'Ambrosio and Nick, co-owners carrying the family operation forward. More trucks, more customers, the same standards. The phone still gets answered by the same family.
